ODI has organized the Annual Conference of the Centre for Aid and Public Expenditure (CAPE) on the 13th and 14th of November at ODI headquarters in London. Public sector specialists from academia, consultancies, governments and international organizations have joined the conference as participants and presenters. The speakers included high profile figures such as the Ministry of Finance from Timor-Leste as well as practitioners and researchers from over the world. The conference aimed at exploring the links between PFM and government performance in developing countries. Over the two days the discussion has covered different aspects such as the role of the Ministry of Finance and of Sector Spending Agencies in the reform process as well as decentralization and the role of donors. All the supporting material and a Conference report are –or will be shortly- available on the ODI website (http://www.odi.org.uk/pppg/cape/).
