The Corporation for Development Studies, CORDES, is a private nonprofit founded in 1984, at the initiative of former President Osvaldo Hurtado, along with a pluralistic group of scholars and practitioners with experience in both public and private sectors. CORDES exists to generate and promote solutions for the development of Ecuador and the improvement of democracy, through studies, consultancies, training and projects.
