The Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP) is a private institution dedicated to research, teaching and dissemination of social studies on Peru and other Latin American countries. Its activities seek to contribute to economic development with equity, the strengthening of democratic institutions and the recognition of the rich diversity of Peru. The IEP is unrelated to any religious activity, or partisan gain.

Martin Tanaka - Sociologist at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Master of Social Science and Doctor of Political Science at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), has been a Visiting Fellow at the Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana (2003) and a visiting professor in the Master of Political Science at the University of Los Andes in Bogota (2002). He is currently a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Peruvian Studies and a professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru.
Roxanna Barrantes - Economist from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois. She has served as an officer, adviser and director of regulatory bodies for public services, such as Osiptel, Ositran and Sunass. Former consultant to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the IDB and the Ombudsman's Office. Currently chairwoman of the Permanent Seminar on Agricultural Research (SEPIA) and a member of the Steering Committee of the Latin American network for research on regulation for the development of the information society (DIRSI). Principal Investigator of the Institute of Peruvian Studies. Associate professor in the Department of Economics and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Master of Law on Enterprise, the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Visiting professor at the University of the Pacific.
